As part of this recent partnership, Dominion Blockchain Solutions Ltd. will raise funds through LandX Credit Gateway to make timely payments to grain farmers. This model speeds up the payment process for farmers while providing attractive investment opportunities for investors in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
How the system works:
Dominion Blockchain Solutions Ltd. will leverage the LandX Credit Gateway platform to obtain USDC-denominated loans. These funds will be secured through lending pools, where investors can deposit USDC to earn interest and additional rewards.
Funds raised through LandX Credit Gateway are secured by grain stocks and will then be used to finance trade, capital expenditures and other key financial activities in the agriculture industry. This system provides farmers with access to liquidity they otherwise would not be able to access in the shortest time frame, increasing their cash flow and operational efficiency.
Dominion, through its Grain Intelligence division, provides an end-to-end digital solution that tracks grain data from the field to a blockchain-enabled processor. This begins with grain sampling and on-farm analysis, the results of which are shared with potential buyers; a digital sales contract is created; grain shipments are tracked; and payment is triggered upon delivery of proof of delivery. This land-to-delivery solution provides full traceability that can be used for carbon credits, regenerative and sustainability initiatives, and other valuable applications in the food chain.
North West Terminal pays for grain on a 35-day deferred payment term. During this period, funds are sourced on the LandX Credit Gateway and collected by Dominion Blockchain Solutions Ltd., then delivered to growers. Once NWT pays the invoices, the loans close.
