Uber technologies (NYSE:UBER) reportedly unveiled a series of measures on Wednesday, including cruises on the Seine, to meet increased demand during the upcoming Paris Olympics.
The passenger transport platform will offer free “cruises with Uber” from July 12 to August 3, and customers will also be able to make reservations a one-day champagne tasting tour as part of the launch of “Uber Bubbles”, Reuters reported.
The report added that the company also plans to make a “significant” investment to incentivize drivers and offer discounts to passengers.
More than 15 million visitors are expected to arrive in Paris this summer, up 30% from previous years, putting strain on public transport networks, the company said, with a record 40 expected to ride on its platform during the Olympics 000 drivers.
Uber (UBER) is also adding over 130 modern Uber Access vehicles to its platform, according to the report.
