World Mobile, a leader in decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePINs), today launched the second tranche of AirNode sales, marking a significant expansion of its US wireless network and reaffirming the company’s commitment to connecting underserved communities.
This fresh launch includes a rollout of over 700 AirNodes in Northern Nevada and California, which will be distributed through a global multi-point sale. The launch of Batch Two follows a rapid sell-out of Batch One earlier this year, which saw its entire deployment in less than 36 hours. World Mobile’s AirNodes, which are decentralized wireless network nodes, provide both cellular and fixed wireless Internet connectivity, especially in areas where established services are inadequate.
AirNodes offer a unique opportunity for anyone to purchase and operate a DePIN node. AirNode operators are rewarded based on subscriber usage of the wireless services provided by their AirNode. In June, the average reward payout for operators exceeded $400, underscoring the impact of participating in the network.

Batch Two introduces two fresh AirNode models – Apex and Link AirNode. Together, these models deliver state-of-the-art, always-on wireless Internet access to subscribers while enhancing the capabilities of World Mobile’s cellular network. Apex AirNode is priced at $15,999, and Link AirNode is priced at $749 ($699 for those on the Early Access Whitelist).
As the World Mobile network continues to grow, it recently surpassed 100,000 daily energetic users globally, a 400 percent boost over last year. This achievement positions World Mobile as the largest decentralized wireless network by unique users, and network operations are powered by the World Mobile Token (WMT). All network transactions, including calls, data, and wallet transactions, will be netted in WMT, ensuring that operators and stakers remain motivated and engaged in driving the growth of the ecosystem.
