Sam Altman’s OpenAI delivers prediction market data to ChatGPT, giving World Cup fans a recent way to track match predictions.
OpenAI has started showing Kalshi’s market odds for FIFA World Cup matches in ChatGPT search results, According to to a report by The New York Times.
At the time of publication, the integration had not been publicly announced. Kalshi declined to comment to Cointelegraph, while OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The move reportedly marks OpenAI’s first known partnership with a prediction market platform, underscoring the growing interest of tech companies in incorporating market predictions into consumer products.
Market rates fall under AI mining
According to the report, ChatGPT displays Kalshi-based market odds when users search for World Cup matches. The results appear in the form of a graphic showing each team’s presumed winning odds based on Kalshi’s market predictions.
One example cited in the report was a ChatGPT search for France vs. Spain showing that France had a 59% chance of winning, while a query for England vs. Argentina showed a 55% chance for England, with the source of the prediction being Kalshi (see below).

The integration does not allow users to place bets via ChatGPT, per OpenAI guidelines cited in the report, with Kalshi data being for informational purposes only.
Prediction markets are entering mainstream platforms
Founded as a regulated forecast market platform, Kalshi allows users to trade contracts linked to real-world events, including economic indicators, politics and sports.
The platform has become one of the largest forecast marketplaces, with Dune Analytics data showing that as of June 2026, Kalshi reported over $33 billion in monthly nominal volume, approximately $22 billion more than Polymarket.

The employ of predictive market data has gained popularity across major media and technology platforms, including Kalshi ascending partnerships with CNN and CNBC in December 2025 to incorporate its market data into its coverage. Competitive polymarket cooperated from Dow Jones in January 2026 to bring its market forecasts to products such as The Wall Street Journal.
Google too integrated market data forecasts from Kalshi and Polymarket in Google Finance and Search products in November 2025.
