  • NZD/USD fights in connection with a broad risk aversion, driven by US President Donald Trump.
  • The dollar of New Zealand is in the face of the wind to deepen deflancy pressure in China, weighing market moods.
  • The CPI inflation header in the US is to be released in February after acquiring the pace in January.

NZD/USD edges lower after registering profits in the previous session, trading around 0.5710 at Asian hours on Wednesday. The couple are in the face of winds among the broad risk aversion, driven by US President Donald Trump, especially tariffs, which increased the likelihood of an extended trade war.

At the front of the data, electronic card transactions in New Zealand increased by 0.3%to 6528 million NZD in principle seasonal in February 2025. Operating materials recorded an escalate of 0.6%, while clothing gained 1%. The fuel remained unchanged, not showing significant movement.

In addition, the New Zealand dollar (NZD) faces indecession with deflating pressure in China. In February there was the highest decrease in consumer prices within 13 months, along with 29 in a monthly decline in factory prices. Given the role of China as the greatest trading partner in New Zealand, these events suppressed market moods.

However, the minus of the NZD/USD pair may be restricted because the US dollar (USD) stands in front of the wind among fears about the potential economic slowdown in the United States (USA). US President Donald Trump described the economy as a “transitional period”, which investors interpreted as an early sign of possible turbulence.

From the federal reserve during the darkening period before the meeting on March 19, the Central Bank’s comment will be minimal this week. Traders focus on the February edition of the American consumer price (CPI) indicator on Wednesday to obtain further information on inflation trends.
