India Adani Green appoints independent law firms to review the indictments of the USA

(Reuters) – India Adani Green appointed independent law firms in order to review the American indictment of the founder of Gautam Adani and the most significant management of Adani Green about paying $ 265 million bribes for power contracts, said behind schedule on Thursday.

In November, the American authorities accused Adani, his nephew and executive director Sagar Adani and the managing director of Vneet S. Jain, claiming that they paid bribes for securing Indian power supply agreements, and misleading American investors while gathering there.

The Adani Group denied the allegations, calling them “unfounded”.

Adani Green did not mention the names of law firms or any other details.

The company was not called the accused in the indictment and civil complaint and confirmed that in the past he issued all the relevant disclosure, including in the bond offer, he said.

He added that the management of Adani Green still maintains the company’s compliance regarding applicable regulations and regulations.
