Meanwhile, Mizuho Financial Group Inc (TYO:) added 6.63% or 234.00 points to close at 3,765.00 and Fukuoka Financial Group, Inc. (TYO:) increased by 5.78%, or 228.00 points, to 4,173.00 in the final session.

Crude oil for December delivery fell 1.30%, or 0.89, to $67.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for January delivery fell 1.27%, or 0.92, to $71.64 a barrel, while December gold futures fell 0.29%, or 7.40, reaching a price of $2,565.50 per troy ounce.
USD/JPY fell 0.10% to 156.10, while EUR/JPY rose 0.10% to 164.73.
U.S. Dollar Index futures rose 0.02% to 106.62.
