Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, gathered approximately 14,000 fans and participants of the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2024 for an exhilarating live broadcast of the final showdown on October 29.
As the highly-anticipated WSOT 2024 Finals approaches, Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou revealed the lucky winner of a $300,000 luxury yacht in the WSOT grand draw, and live viewers got to share in the USDT 10,000 prize pool. Top team leaders and Ben also talked about the significant changes to the WSOT rules this year, explaining the reasoning and sharing their insights on how they lead their teams to victory and how to stay awake during the hottest cryptocurrency trading competition of the year.
Overview of the most crucial events:
- Winning strategies from the best: Speakers from the very top of various WSOT rankings had no secret from the community. Team leaders from different cultures shared their diverse views on the art of cryptocurrency trading, hedging strategies and analytical tools that helped them dominate the leaderboards with stunning profit and loss results. Many also shared their personal approaches to dealing with volatility in everyday trading and competition, their sense of responsibility and achievement as leaders of top teams, and their favorite modern rules and features, such as three chances to reset gains and losses, the ability to compete in various categories in terms of capital size.
- Perfect moment: The huge live draw revealed the winners of WSOT’s most coveted prize, including 6 round-the-world tickets, 3 Rolex watches and a yacht. The main prize, a luxury yacht worth $300,000, went to one of the speakers who happened to be spending time on the shining Mediterranean Sea.
- Spreading joy: during the live broadcast, the audience took breaks for drops, and over 2,000 energetic listeners participated in the giveaway, and 10,000 US dollars has been made available to 100 lucky Bybit users.
The record-breaking cryptocurrency trading competition attracted nearly 80,000 participants this year with an astonishing total prize pool and additional prizes worth USDT 10,000,000. With one more day of competition ahead of us, the live broadcast forced WSOT 2024 participants to recalibrate their strategies, take inspiration from the trading champions and race to unlock the entire remaining prize pool.
Ben personally attended the virtual event to announce the grand prize winner of a luxury yacht in the Grand Draw.
“This year our slogan is to make the WSOT fairer. We have divided the categories into heavyweight, medium and light, and this year users can participate on their main account as well as sub-accounts,” said Ben, explaining that some of the rules were intended to attract more earnest traders. He also commented that the Leaderboard rankings have been shuffling due to wild market movements over the past few days, alluding to the high level of activity at the end of WSOT as competition comes to an end on October 31, 2024.
WSOT is the longest-running and largest trading competition in the cryptocurrency industry, promoting excellence and sportsmanship. Year after year, it evolves to offer participants more equitable, inclusive and engaging opportunities. Live broadcasts played a key role in WSOT 2024, celebrating its milestones and building community through real-time interaction.
