Tron (TRX) maintains a neutral to bearish tone, trading above $0.32 at the time of writing on Thursday. The clever contract token failed to break above the $0.33 resistance a day earlier, reflecting the broader deterioration in the cryptocurrency market.
Despite recent signs of weakening inflation in the United States (US), the US-Iran war in the Middle East is pushing assets beyond risky assets, prompting investors to reassess their exposure.
Cryptocurrency market sentiment is in fear territory, with a slight decline to 31 on Thursday from 33 the day before, according to the Fear & Greed Index. If this weakness continues, it could negatively impact appetite for risky assets, in turn reducing demand and tail strength in the broader cryptocurrency market.
Gasless gas fees improve the Tron DAO payment infrastructure
Most crypto protocols charge gas fees for transactions. These transactions consume energy and bandwidth, requiring network users to spend or stake an underlying token such as TRX.
This poses a significant barrier to usability, as Tether (USDT) recipients without a TRX balance are unable to transfer their funds. They must first obtain TRX, meet the network’s energy and bandwidth requirements, and maintain a sufficient TRX balance to facilitate transactions.
However, with gasless transactions, this bottleneck disappears. Users authorize the transfer, while the third-party sponsor covers the on-chain transaction fee by deducting a petite fee directly from the transferred USDT, eliminating the need to maintain a TRX balance.
According to CryptoQuant, the rapid adoption of Tron gasless fees led to an boost in USDT transfer volumes to $2.9 billion in the last week of June, compared to near zero in the same week last year. Moreover, transfer volumes reached a record $3 billion in the first week of May, significantly higher than the weekly high of $1.9 billion in 2025.

Price Analysis: TRX Falling as part of Broader Bearish Outlook
TRX price is right on the 100-day exponential moving average (EMA) at $0.327. The 50-day EMA at $0.328 coincides with the middle layer of the Bollinger Bands, closing the upper part.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) index is holding slightly above zero with a modest positive histogram on the daily chart, and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near the midline, both indicating balanced momentum without forceful directional conviction.

Initial resistance is centered around the middle Bollinger area at $0.328, which coincides with the 50-day EMA. A daily close above this banded area would open the door towards the upper Bollinger Band near $0.333. On the other hand, first support is located at the lower Bollinger Band at $0.322, followed by the more strategic 200-day EMA at $0.320, where buyers will likely defend the broader base of the uptrend. A break below this zone would shift the short-term bias towards a deeper corrective phase.
