Musk’s xAI is looking for a cryptography expert who will train artificial intelligence in market analysis

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is hiring a crypto specialist to support train its AI systems in digital asset markets.

According to the newly published list of job offersthe company is recruiting a remote “Financial Expert – Crypto” to support train xAI models on how professional cryptocurrency traders analyze on-chain data, evaluate token economics, and manage risk in volatile, always-on markets.

“This includes generating high-quality data in text, voice and video formats: detailed annotations, critiques of model results, step-by-step reasoning traces, audio explanations of strategies and occasional structured video sessions,” the job description reads.

As part of this role, the cryptocurrency expert would also “identify and address challenging cryptocurrency issues, including market microstructure issues such as fragmented liquidity and execution risk associated with Miner Extractable Value (MEV).

Commenting on the job posting, Sumit Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX, said that the role shows that the future lies in the convergence of cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence.

“X is already the No. 1 place where CT meets. Elon Musk wants xAI/grok to become the No. 1 research platform for crypto people too?” Gupta he said in the post on X.

The position is fully remote and offers hourly wages ranging from $45 to $100, depending on experience and location.

In November, Musk said that X was preparing to launch a standalone encrypted messaging app called X Chat in the next few months, positioning it as a competitor to Telegram and WhatsApp. Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, Musk said the app uses peer-to-peer encryption similar to Bitcoin (BTC).

X is preparing to introduce “smart cash registers”

Last month, X’s head of product Nikita Bier revealed that the platform is preparing to launch a novel “Smart Cashtags” feature that will display real-time cryptocurrency and stock price data, along with related news and discussions on the platform.

The tool will also display details of crypto token sharp contracts and highlight recent mentions related to companies, teams and market narratives.
