On Monday at the Rotary Club of Atlanta, Federal Reserve Bank (Fed) President Raphael Bostic said that no one anticipates a deterioration in the labor market and that the economy will reach balance by mid-year.

Key conclusions

The U.S. economy looks resilient even before taking into account tax cuts and deregulation.

Forecasts for the first hour of 2026 predict good economic performance, inflation will remain high, which is a cause for concern.

Nobody predicts a deterioration in the situation on the labor market.

It will achieve economic balance by mid-year.

The position of Fed chairman is a very large job.

For policy to move in the desired direction, trust must be built within the committee, and wisdom and guidance must be exercised.

This is a huge undertaking for Warsh, I wish him all the best.

He has a hard task. not entirely with tariff-driven inflation.

It is too early to say that inflation has been done.”
