Price forecast for USD/JPY: will disappear below 200-day SMA like USD falls

USD/JPY expanded its losses, falling below the 200-day straight movable average (SMA) of 152.73 and reaching the three-day lowest level of 152.02. Even worse than expected, retail sales data in the USA burdened with the American currency, which fell to the low year (YTD), according to the American dollars index (DXY). The pair trads at 152.26, below the opening price by 0.36%.

USD/JPY price forecast: technical perspectives

The downward trend resumed after the profits of February 12 have been removed in the last few days when the sellers have regained control. The relative strength indicator (RSI) remains bear, which indicates that a further disadvantage is ahead of us. Therefore, the first USD/JPY support would be the lowest levels of February 7 150.93, and then on December 3 the lowest level 148.64.

And vice versa, if USD/JPY recovers the 200-day SMA, the pair can strive for 153.00, followed by Tenkan-seen at 153.22 and Figure 154.00.
