Meanwhile, RichWave Technology Corp (TW:) added 9.90%, or 19.00 points, to end at 211.00 and Great Ocean Retail Group Ltd (TW:) rose 9.87%, or 1.10 points, to 12.25 in the final session.
They performed the worst during the session Prospect data Inc (TW :), which fell by 9.85%, or 0.39 points, to reach 3.57 at closing. Chungfu Tex-International Corp (TW:) fell 4.08%, or 1.70 points, to close at 39.95, and Parpro Corp (TW:) fell 3.24%, or 1.10 points, to 32.80.
Falling stocks outpaced gains on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for January delivery rose 0.66%, or 0.45, to $68.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for February delivery rose 0.65%, or 0.47, to $72.31 a barrel, while February gold futures fell 1.31%, or 35.01, reaching a price of $2,645.99 per troy ounce.
USD/TWD rose 0.51% to 32.62, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
U.S. Dollar Index futures rose 0.43% to 106.29.
