Rekt raises $1.5 million in seed round with angel and community support following success of Rekt Beverage Sale

Rekt Brands Inc. (Rekt), the parent company behind the Rektguy NFT project, Rekt Drinks and the Rekt brand intellectual property, is excited to announce the completion of a $1.5 million seed funding round. This achievement, funded solely by angel investors and the community – without institutional venture capital – highlights the support Rekt has received from its true and growing network.

This financing announcement follows the debut of Rekt Drinks, Rekt’s first consumer product: a lime-flavored, caffeine-free, alcohol-free sparkling water under the Rekt brand. Rekt Drinks debuted last week with 222,456 units available in 32 countries. The entire range sold out in less than 48 hours, and demand in the US alone resulted in a complete sellout in just 4 hours and 20 minutes. This launch represents one of the largest real-world sales of Web3-branded products, strengthening Rekt’s potential as a cultural force in both digital and conventional markets.

Rekt was born out of the success of the Rektguy NFT collection, created by artist Ovie Faruq (OSF) in May 2022. The Rektguy project has since expanded to include Rekt Brands, which oversees Rekt’s intellectual property and is pioneering a unique industry model by offering equity in the company parent company directly to NFT holders, benefiting from an exemption from Reg CF under SEC guidelines in the US
