U.Today – Today is a milestone that echoes through the halls of cryptocurrency history as Budapest, Hungary proudly celebrates the third anniversary of the world’s first statue dedicated to Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous inventor of (BTC). The statue, which will be unveiled in 2021, was created by the original minds of sculptors Gergely Réka and Tamás Gilly.
The sculpture depicts the upper half of a figure with a reflective face covered by a hood with the Bitcoin logo. Designed to embody the idea that “we are all Satoshi,” the statue eloquently expresses the belief that innovation and progress are the collective achievements of many.
The Satoshi monument, which is supported by influential Hungarian cryptocurrency advocates such as Mr. Coin, Kripto Akademia, Blockchain Hungary Association and Blockchain Budapest, is itself a powerful symbol of the collaborative spirit that drives technological progress.
Interestingly, this is the only known monument to Satoshi Nakamoto, although Bitcoin is already a trillion-dollar asset that has spawned an entirely recent financial market worth $2 trillion and made many people incredibly affluent.
The next vital milestone for Bitcoin, according to Nakamoto, will come at the end of October, as this year marks 16 years since Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin Whitepaper, a foundational document that describes the concept and technology behind the first cryptocurrency.
Hungary and Bitcoin
Meanwhile, Hungary recently passed a recent Crypto-Asset Act, aligning the country’s legal framework with European Union regulations known as MiCA. The act covers the issuance, offering and trading of crypto-assets, as well as supervision and sanctions of crypto-asset service providers.
