Keshav is currently a senior writer at NewsBTC and has been associated with the website since June 14, 2021.
Keshav has been writing for many years, first as a hobbyist and later as a freelancer. He has experience working in various niches, even literary fiction, but the cryptocurrency industry has been the one he has been involved with the longest.
As for his formal educational qualifications, Keshav has a bachelor’s degree in physics from one of India’s premier institutes, the University of Delhi (DU). He started his studies with the intention of pursuing a career in physics, but the outbreak of the COVID pandemic put paid to his plans. The virus meant that classes at the university had to be held online, and with it came time off to pursue other passions.
Initially, Keshav just wanted to earn some money for beer, but then he unexpectedly found clients offering real projects, and there was no turning back. Writing was something he had always enjoyed, and being able to do it for a living was a dream come true.
Keshav graduated with a degree in physics in 2022 and has since focused on his writing career, but that doesn’t mean his passion for physics has ended. He plans to eventually return to university to pursue a master’s degree in the same field, but perhaps only to satisfy his own interests rather than to exploit them as a means of finding employment.
Keshav has found blockchain and its concepts fascinating ever since he began delving into the subject in 2020. He particularly enjoys researching on-chain analytics, which is why his articles at NewsBTC cover it in some form.
As someone with a science background, Keshav appreciates when concepts are clear and coherent, which is why he usually explains the metrics he discusses in some detail so that readers can come away with both what they understand and something fresh to learn.
When it comes to hobbies, Keshav is a superfan of football, anime, and video games. He enjoys football not only as a spectator but also as a player. When it comes to games, Keshav usually prefers single-player adventures, and the only online game he is energetic in is EA FC (formerly FIFA). Although, perhaps because of his ultra-focus on the game, he is now a semi-professional on the EA FC scene, regularly participating in tournaments and sometimes even collecting cash prizes.
Due to his love of anime and gaming, he taught himself Japanese to learn some of the untranslated gems. This skill didn’t remain just a hobby, as he put it to productive exploit during his quest for diminutive commissions at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, taking on several Japanese-to-English translation jobs.
Keshav is also a large fan of fitness, with agility and acceleration training being a large part of his routine due to their importance in football. He also has a more classic strength-based routine in the gym that he does to maintain his overall fitness level.
