U.Today – Michael Saylor, co-founder and CEO of MicroStrategy, delivered one of the most influential speeches to Bitcoiners at an event in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Addressing the crowd via PowerPoint slides, Saylor broke down the journey as an asset and its impact on the economy.
Michael Saylor and the Gospel of Bitcoin
In a post on his X account, Saylor described the presentation as the most comprehensive and perhaps most vital he has ever given on Bitcoin.
Interestingly, the Bitcoin evangelist preached the “gospel” of digital assets and their many advantages as capital preservation over financial assets. Saylor maintained that high inflation has caused many investors to abandon financial assets as a way to preserve funds. In addition, high holding costs and depreciation over time make the asset class an unwise investment.
Saylor notes that while alternatives like silver, gold and land may seem better, they also have a narrow time value, averaging between 22 and 90 years.
However, in the case of Bitcoin, the minimum lifespan of the digital asset starts at 1,000 years. According to Saylor, this intrinsic value lies in the fact that Bitcoin, the creation of Satoshi, remains digital, unaffected by material forces.
Bold Bitcoin Price Forecast
Saylor advised Bitcoin investors to always favor BTC as a safety net, but at the same time gave them a stark warning: “If you want to be rich, trade smart,” he said.
The MicroStrategy CEO has always been bullish on Bitcoin, and as U.Today recently reported, Saylor made a bold price prediction for the digital asset at $13 million by 2045. Analysts say the prediction helps understand MicroStrategy’s long-term-thinking accumulation strategy.
