Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) rejected the proposal to integrate metaplatforms (NASDAQ:CEL) Llama AI chatbot for iPhones a few months ago, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg.
In March, the companies held brief talks about using Lamy, but Apple ( AAPL ) chose not to do so move forward because Meta believes (UNDERWORLD) privacy practices are not stringent enough.
According to reportand the company announced chatbot integration earlier this month.
Apple (AAPL) is also expected to partner with Google (GOOG) (GOOGL) to integrate Gemini into its products, building on the companies’ association with Safari’s search engine. Apple is also in talks with AI startup Anthropic about a potential partnership.
Although Apple (AAPL) has unveiled its own artificial intelligence technology, Apple Intelligence, it is not as advanced as competitors’ offerings, which is why the company is looking for partners. It is also believed that users will eventually want to have more AI chatbot options to choose from.
Recall that over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple (AAPL) and Meta (META) held talks on an artificial intelligence partnership involving the integration of the Facebook owner’s generative artificial intelligence model with Apple Intelligence.
